In LARS HELICOPTER CENTER we take Continuing Airworthiness Management seriously, which means that we take care of all it's aspects.
We use a well-tried computer system to track and plan all scheduled maintenance tasks as well as validity of all the documents from POHs to ARCs.
Continuing Airworthiness Management is far more than just accomplishing all planned maintenance within it's time limits. We all know that technical defects are not the only factors capable of making an aircraft unairworthy or, to put it straight, grounded. In addition to serviceability, aircraft's airworthiness is affected also by the compliance of it's documentation with the effective regulations.
AMP (AIRCRAFT'S MAINTENANCE PROGRAMME)
Aircraft's maintenance should be planned and performed according to a dedicated Maintenance Programme, approved by the competent authorities (Civil Aviation Office), subjected to periodical analysis and revisions. Part M regulations state that AMP should:
- contain details, including frequency, of all maintenance to be carried out, including any specific tasks linked to the type and the specificity of operations,
- establish complience with instructions issued by competent authorities, holders of type-certificate and component manufacturers,
- be subject to periodic reviews and amended accordingly when necessary, in light of the operating experience and instructions from the competent authority whilst taking into account new and/or modified maintenance instructions issued by the type certificate holders or component manufacturers.
As a part of Continuing Airworthiness Management service, LARS HELICOPTER CENTER takes responsibility for development, approval and actualisation of AMP.
ATL (AIRCRAFT TECHNICAL LOG)
The purpose of operator's Aircraft Technical Log is to provide the aircraft crew and the person carrying out preflight inspection with information about aircraft's airworthiness. ATL constitute a primary source of data concerning next due maintenance, defects rectifications, fuel level.
ATL sheet is a way by which owner of an aircraft informs LARS HELICOPTER CENTER about helicopter's time in service / hour meter. Data from ATL is then transferred to the computer system by which LARS HELICOPTER CENTER controls performance of all maintenance tasks.
DOCUMENTATION
Both in maintenance and in operational use of a helicopter, certain regulations, procedures and instructions stand, which are described in numerous documents, issued by type certificate holders, component manufacturers and competent authorities. All these documents are subject to continuous changes. One of the provisions of Continuing Airworthiness is ensuring that aircraft's maintenance and operation are being performed in accordance with the current documentation.
LARS HELICOPTER CENTER constantly acquires and analyses all documentation that affects helicopters covered by Continuing Airworthiness Management service, introducing revisions to AMP as required. As a part of Continuing Airworthiness Management we also provide our customers with revisions to POH and in-depth analysis of all documentation pertaining to the flight safety (SIB, SAIB) issued by FAA and EASA.
ARC
Our Part M certificate No PL.MG.506 has been extended recently to include authorization to conducting Airwortiness Reviews and issuing ARCs.
